There are 3 main brands providing good quality systems.

For your pets sake, please, please stick to these brands.

These established brands have put a lot of knowledge, expertise and money into producing high quality equipment with regulated features.

Coming from an electronics background, its pretty amazing what you get for your money from any of them. Compare it to the cost of a having a part fitted to your car etc.

It can be a bit of a minefield knowing what equipment / brand to get with some making various claims against each other.

 

​They may say they have the smallest, lightest most comfortable receiver collar on the market. (The part the dog or cat wears). 

'No false activation' guarantees and containment promises, 'Professional grade' super duper heavy duty cables - I've seen and heard it all.

​

The reality is that all the established brands are all good.

I've driven around for around 10 years with them all sat on my dash and I've never had one activate when it shouldn't.

​

People often end up buying under pressure from sales people being pushy or offering discounts if a decision is made quickly.

​

Take your time before buying.

I understand that people like to buy the whole lot from one brand. Mainly because of their concerns in regards to things going wrong. All the brands are from the USA and their customer service is very good. Its extremely rare to get any problems with the kit from any of the brands.
