What is a radio fence?

A radio fence (often called an electric or electronic dog or cat fence), is a system where a cable's run around your property.​

Your dog or cat wears a special receiver collar that detects this cable and gives them a warning sound followed by a very mild static sensation when they get even closer.

 

It can be left at sound only if you wish to using positive encouragement training.This technique can be used where there is no strong drive.

You might just be trying to stop your dog from trampling over your flower beds.

You can then set to a level where the dog will just behave like a flea has annoyed it.
